Behind the Scenes: The Rigorous Path to Quadruple Organic Certification for Reishi
The journey of creating Reishi spore oil or powder is a remarkable story of quality and dedication.
Recently, a segment aired on CCTV-7 titled "Reishi Wears a Bib, Undergoes Surgery, Travels to Space" brought widespread attention to the cultivation and processing of this botanical.
Cultivating Excellence Requires Meticulous Care
Producing Reishi involves a year-long growth cycle, demanding constant attention and care.
As shown in the report from the Wuyi Mountains, Fujian GANOHERB adheres to stringent quadruple organic cultivation standards. Their process includes irrigation with mountain spring water and manual weeding. Each Reishi specimen is carefully inspected and tended to, ensuring the removal of any pests. This painstaking process is part of GANOHERB's commitment to quality.
Quadruple Organic Certification: A Commitment to Purity
Achieving organic certification is a demanding process globally:
China & USA: Require a 3-year transition period where prohibited substances must be eliminated from the land.
Japan: Mandates at least a 12-month transition period.
European Union: Requires a 3-year fallow period to ensure the complete elimination of any residual substances from the soil.
"Our Reishi bases are cultivated for only two years, followed by a full three-year natural rest period where the land lies fallow," the CCTV reporter learned. This land, certified organic by China, the US, Japan, and the EU for 11 consecutive years, yields Reishi known for its robust form and density.
GANOHERB Reishi Spore Oil: Advanced Production Process
To showcase modern Reishi processing, CCTV visited GANOHERB's high-standard cleanroom facility. The process involves: freshly collected spore powder being dried and sieved, then undergoing low-temperature physical wall-breaking, achieving a high breakage rate.
"After wall-breaking, supercritical COâ‚‚ extraction technology is used to obtain the oil." At the GANOHERB spore oil production line, reporters observed how proprietary technology separates the oil from other components, resulting in GANOHERB Reishi Spore Oil.
Preserving Craftsmanship, Sharing Tradition Globally
"Premium Reishi should be shared with the world, allowing everyone to experience its story," states Li Ye, Chairman of GANOHERB. He views the preservation and global sharing of these practices as integral to the Reishi sector.
In recent years, GANOHERB has embraced an international perspective, sharing its heritage globally and pioneering a path for Chinese Reishi brands internationally.
Today, GANOHERB Reishi reaches over 30 countries and regions across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. It has earned international recognition, including the UN South-South Cooperation Special Contribution Award and designation as a UN Model Base for Mushroom Cultivation and Processing Techniques.
