I add a shake of turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger to this matcha powder and a teaspoon of honey. I fill my cup with half milk & half water, mix well & nuke. It’s tasty and satisfying. I haven’t noticed a caffeine buzz and am not sure I feel energized but I do enjoy a cup each morning. It was very expensive so I’m not sure I’ll reorder although I notice some other health benefits.
I am not a matcha snob, but let’s just say I hate the overpriced matcha at a large chain coffee shop because it’s too sweet and weak.
This matcha is perfect and it really does help with energy. I am a Crohn’s disease girly and this helps my stomach as well. I mix a bag with 4 oz of water, use a frother, then add a splash of creamer and about 6 oz skim milk. It’s delicious, not sweet, and even has some added protein. It is pricey but you’re paying for *good* matcha, the mushroom benefits, collagen, protein. It’s worth it to me especially when a matcha from the coffee shop is $7-$8 and tastes bad.
Matcha is an acquired taste. Although im use to drinking the matcha tea from Starbucks, the matcha in this taste the same to it. It does have a bitter taste if you only drink it with water. I’m going to assume that the mushroom is what gives it the swamp green color to it. So far I’m loving it, I do see an increase in energy and definitely the gut healthy part. I’m in the bathroom within an hour. I use a few ounces of cold water and oat milk to froth, I didn’t have a brother the first time. Then after frothing I add Bliss Creamer that has natural sugar to give it a better taste. Then some ice and it’s ready to go.
I have no way to check the validity of their claims about their mushroom's potency or dosage. I can go by flavor, how I feel, and the perceived value. The powder is very smooth and dissolves well when using a handheld frother. It is a little sweeter than the other brand that I use, but I do not see where sugar is added to the mix. The matcha flavor is good and I don't feel as if I am drinking mushrooms when I have a cup. The bag has lasted over a month, but I do use heaping tablespoons when I scoop. I also mix in collagen with the other mix I use, which closes the $20 price difference per bag. Honestly, I do not have a strong opinion, one way or the other. They seem about the same to me. I have felt better since drinking the matcha every day, I am more regular, and I have lost about 15 pounds. I think I would order this again, once I run out of collagen to add to the other mix.
These Matcha are delicious and less caffeine then my
regular coffee.
