● The mountain area of North Fujian centered on Pucheng is located at the source of the Minjiang River in the Wuyi Mountains. It enjoys the most suitable natural conditions for the growth of Reishi Mushroom.
● As early as the turn of 1980s and 1990s, the experts of edible-medicinal fungi of Fujian provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Japanese experts of Reishi Mushroom cultivation technology cooperated to carry out the experiments of imitative wild cultivation of Reishi Mushroom on Duanwood with the support of the local government.

● On the basis of good ecological conditions and advanced technologies, GANOHERB has built China's first organic log-cultivated Reishi Mushroom plantation that meets the international organic standards.

Self-built Plantation

Each place has its own way of nurturing its own Reishi Mushroom. In order to ensure the safety, quality and efficacy of Reishi Mushroom from the source, GANOHERB has built its own Reishi Mushroom plantation with a total area of over 66.67 hectares at the core origin of Reishi Mushroom -- the source of the Minjiang River in the Wuyi Mountains. The features of GANOHERB’s Reishi Mushroom plantation are as follows:
● The plantation is far away from man-made and natural sources of pollution.
● The plantation enjoys pure air, drinkable mountain spring and pollution-free soils — its air quality (GB 3095, GB 9137), its water quality (GB 5749) and its soil quality (GB 15618) are in line with national standards.
● The plantation will lie fallow for three years after being cultivated for two years.
● The organic logs on which Reishi Mushroom is grown come from legal forest farms. Only one Reishi Mushroom is grown on a piece of Duanwood.
● Our growers get rid of weeds and pests by hand and regularly monitor the temperature, humidity, illumination and ventilation in the plantation.
● We grow Reishi Mushroom in strict accordance with the GLOBALG.A.P. and the organic certification standards of US, EU, Japan and China. We adhere to the natural growth principles of Reishi Mushroom and never use unnatural substances such as pesticides, chemical fertilizers, growth regulators and genetically modified products.

GLOBALG.A.P.& Multi-national Organic Certification

Since 2006, GANOHERB's organic Ganoderma plantation has passed the GLOBALG.A.P. certification and has been certified organic by US, EU, Japan and China for over 10 consecutive years. It was also identified as Demonstration Base of Edible-Medicinal Mushroom Cultivation and Processing Technology by the UNIDO.

Controlling the Whole Process with World-class Standards

GANOHERB's Reishi Mushroom has met the national food safety standards, health food quality standards, Chinese Pharmacopoeia quality standards and export quality standards required by more than 30 countries and regions such as US, EU and Japan. Especially in terms of the pesticide residue limit that is most difficult to control, GANOHERB's Reishi Mushroom can simultaneously meet the organic standards of US, EU, Japan and China. This is because we use world-class standards to control every link from the seed source to the processing.

Seed Source Standardization

We select varieties with different advantages according to the needed products.
In line with the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, we use high-quality varieties identified by the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences including Ganoderma lucidum and Ganoderma sinensis.

Collection Standardization – Fruiting Body

● The pileus stops expanding outward, the surface is uniform in color, and there are 3 thick layers on the edge. At this time, the bottom of the pileus is full and milky white, and the spores inside are almost mature and ready to eject. It is the moment when the fruiting body contains the most edible value.

● The fruiting body, after its spore powder is harvested, needs to be dried and dehydrated for storage.

Collection Standardization – Spore Powder

● According to Standards on Harvesting and Processing Techniques of Ganoderma Lucidum Spore Powder (GB/T 29344-2012) developed by GANOHERB, fresh spore powder ejected 15 days before harvest is guaranteed to be fine and full.
● Our patent named The Method and Collector that Avoid Reishi Mushroom Spore Powder from Falling to the Ground ensures that the spore powder is clean and pollution-free during the harvesting period.(Patent No.: zl 201510708287.8)
● After the harvested spore powder is sieved, sterilized and dried, it can enter the processing stage of cell wall breaking.

ProcessingQuality Control Standardization

● Every year, the national certification body randomly selects some raw materials at our Reishi Mushroom plantation and sends them to the third party for undergoing more than 300 items of pesticide residue testing. The results are all “Negative”.
We purchase all raw materials such as plant capsules from well-known companies and conduct on-site inspections. Each batch of raw materials must pass the test before being accepted by the factory.

We organize the production as per standardized procedures that comply strictly with the requirements of GMP for health food and medicine.

All finished products are tested according to quality standards. After the products are tested and proved to be qualified, the qualified person will issue a “product release permit”, and then the qualified products can be put into the storage for sale.
